The current status of product standards for fire door monitoring systems The fire door monitoring system is a monitoring system specifically designed to monitor the working status of normally open and normally closed fire doors installed in buildings, and is an independent subsystem of the automatic fire alarm system. In recent years, fire door monitoring system products have gradually been put into use in engineering applications. In order to standardize the production and manufacturing of such products, the standard GB29364-2012 "Fire Door Monitor" was promulgated and implemented on July 1, 2013, which provides corresponding regulations on the composition of fire door monitoring systems, the functions of system components, and inspection requirements. 2. Composition of Fire Door Monitoring System Products According to the working mechanism of the fire door monitoring system and the practical functional requirements of the project, the standard GB29364-2012 "Fire Door Monitor" stipulates that the fire door monitoring system should consist of a fire door monitor, a normally open fire door electromagnetic release device, a normally closed fire door magnetic switch, and a normally closed fire door electric door closer. 3. Current Status of Design Standards for Fire Door Monitoring System Engineering In order to effectively guide the engineering design of fire door monitoring systems, the standard GB50116-2013 "Design Specification for Fire Automatic Alarm System", which was implemented on May 1, 2014, has made corresponding provisions for the product selection, system composition, setting, and system linkage control requirements of fire door monitoring systems. In the architectural standard design atlas 14X505-1 "Design Specification for Fire Automatic Alarm System" released in September 2014, which is used in conjunction with the standard GB50116-2013, typical engineering design examples of fire door monitoring systems and installation requirements for product system components are provided for reference by designers. The promulgation and implementation of relevant standards and specifications provide corresponding design basis for the engineering application of fire door monitoring system. 4. The Current Status of Fire Door Monitoring System Products With the promulgation and implementation of relevant standards and specifications, as well as the increasing demand for engineering applications, many companies have passed the type inspection of the Fire Electronic Product Quality Inspection Center in accordance with the standard GB29364-2012 "Fire Door Monitor" and gradually put their products into practical engineering applications.
